Bobby has been fortunate to call Madisonville his home for over 60 years. He has been married to Barbara Diana Sherrod for 44 years. They have two children Bobby Jr. and Brook and also have ve grandchildren Bobby III, Bryson, Bra’Shyia, Bryanne and Brayden. Bobby has held many leadership positions within our community. After High School and College, he was hired by the Madisonville Police Department. He worked his way through various leadership positions and ranks throughout the department. He was appointed as the Chief of Police and is proud of his 33 years of service to our community as a police leader. During his 7 years as Chief, he was elected to the KY Association of Chiefs of Police Executive board as the Western KY Chairman. In additioanl to his service on the police force, he served our community in various leadership positions such as Past President of Madisonville Rotary Club, Board of Midwest KY American Red Cross, Board of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Co-Chair United Way, Vice President Rosenwald-Smith Multicultural Center and Director Madisonville ABA. hired by the Madisonville Police Department. He worked his way through various leadership

community as a police leader. During his 7 years as Chief, he was elected to the KY Association

Bobby has enough college credit for an associate’s degree but have never actually
applied for the degree. Bobby have also thousands of hours of training in legal matters,
leadership, public sector regulations and skills within his 33 years working for the City of
Madisonville. Bobby is honored to have been elected to serve on the City Council to represent
the citizens of Madisonville.
